American icon Tom Watson took home a memorable win at the 1977 Open Championship. Paired for the final round with rival Jack Nicklaus, they were tied at hole 16. Watson shot 65 to Nicklaus's 66, winning his second of five Opens. In 2009, he came second in a four-hole playoff behind Steward Cink, and this year – aged 61 – returns to try and claim the Open title for a sixth time. In May 2011, he won the Senior PGA Championship at Valhalla.
