Rolex supports the most prestigious tournaments, players and organizations in tennis.

From the four Grand Slam® tournaments – the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, The Championships, Wimbledon, and the US Open – to Swiss phenomenon Roger Federer, Rolex’s contribution to excellence in tennis is based on a rich heritage of more than 40 years, championing performance while respecting the sport’s finest traditions.

The AUSTRALIAN OPEN

The Australian Open holds a special place in the tennis calendar. The players, rejuvenated after their break, reconvene down under for the first Grand Slam® tournament of the year. The Rod Laver Arena, the centre court at Melbourne Park, is named after the Australian legend who captured his national title three times and inspired generations of players to push the boundaries in their quest for constant improvement and lasting excellence. Swiss maestro Roger Federer has enjoyed considerable success at the event, winning six men’s singles titles.

ROLAND-GARROS

Rolex’s special relationship with Roland-Garros as Premium Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch was inaugurated in 2019. The tennis crème de la crème has gathered in Paris since 1928 for this Grand Slam® tournament – the only one of the four held on clay and whose origins date back to 1891.

The US OPEN

With roots dating back to 1881, the US Open is among the oldest tennis tournaments in the world. Traditionally the fourth and final event of the Grand Slam® season, its unique atmosphere and energy are intrinsic to the host city – New York. Some of the sport’s most epic matches have unfolded at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center since it became the event’s home more than 40 years ago. As part of its long-standing partnership with tennis, Rolex is the Official Timekeeper of this Grand Slam® since 2018.

Belinda Bencic

Belinda Bencic is leaving her mark on tennis. She reached the quarter-finals of the US Open in 2014 at age 17, becoming the youngest player in more than 15 years to make it to that stage of the competition. After injuries halted her progress, the Swiss right-hander returned to form in 2019: she played her first Grand Slam® semi-final at the US Open, won two titles, made it to the last four of the season-ending WTA Finals and finished in the world’s top 10. Most recently she became her country’s first Olympic Games women's singles champion when taking gold at Tokyo 2020.

A permanent fixture in the world’s top 10 since July 2017, he has won more than a dozen titles, including the end-of-year ATP Tour Finals in 2018 and five ATP Masters 1000 tournaments. A first Grand Slam® final appearance at the 2020 US Open was evidence the 1.98m German had arrived among the elite. He gave a further glimpse of his big-match pedigree when winning the gold medal at Tokyo 2020 to become his country's first Olympic Games men’s singles champion.
